I'm just about to write a report about the Armenian genocide.. I want to say that this is a great website which I am definetely going to use for my report.. This report is a way for me to take vigorous exception to the fact that I have never learned about this horrible genocide at school... I can't believe that the European Union is even considering accepting Turkey as a member when the country does not acknowledge the actions of their ancestors.. Of course the current Turkish people are not to blame for these actions but in my opinien, still, they have a responsibility to admit that this genocide took place and that this was appalling and can never be justified in any way... If it wasn't for System of a Down I would probably not have known about this genocide right now myself... I am very greatful that I am now aware of this genocide and I do my best to tell my family and friends about it too.. I am ashamed that Denmark has not independently recognized the Armenian genocide in official resolutions... Hopefully, this will change in the future... I am so sorry for the sufferings that the Armenian people went through so many years ago.. And the continuous sufferings because of the Turkish denial.. Someday the truth will open the eyes of the entire world!!

I have an "Armenian" friend who was born in Iran. I always wondered why she appeared so sad when she talked about the Armenian people's history, and now, and viewing the photos and reading the background information, I now comprehend. I cannot imagine or comprehend why one race of people would systematically set out to completely destroy another race (or even their own - in the case of the Cambodians). This includes the murder of innocent women and children. Whether it was the Armenians, Jews, Cambodians, Bosnians, or any other race, religion, or ethnic group, this must not happen again! Civilised and caring peoples everywhere need to band together to stop all future acts of genocide wherever and whenever they may occur. If we fail to stop such acts of genocide in future then we are no better than those carrying out the act.

Well there is a lot of hate in this "room" but I would like to set some things straight! First of all there must have been a reason for armenians to die, everything happens for a reason and when Turkey was at war Armenians back stabbed the Turks by allying with e.g. Russia. How do you expect a nation to react to this?
